FIVB OQT: Dominican R Triumphs over Serbia Through Teamwork
On the fifth day of the FIVB Olympic Qualification Tournament in Ningbo, the Dominican Republic delivered a remarkable performance, clinching a 3-1 victory (25-23, 18-25, 25-23, 25-17) over Serbia. This result leaves no team undefeated in Pool A of the FIVB OQT hosted in Ningbo.
Despite Serbia’s defeat, Boskovic stood out with a great performance, contributing 31 points to become the match’s top scorer.
In a post-match interview, Niverka Marte, the captain of the Dominican Republic team, attributed their victory to teamwork. She emphasized their success was born from a collective effort rather than the reliance on individual players. Marte also expressed her gratitude to the Chinese fans present at the venue whose enthusiastic cheers made them feel at home. She also extended heartfelt thanks to the Dominican fans for their unwavering support.
