First Selection Made for Poland’s 2023 National Team Season

Poland national team coach Stefano Lavarini has made his first selection of 30 players for the women’s national team in the 2023 season.

Lavarini said that the selection is based on players’ performance in the club volleyball season and how prospective the players’ data are at the international level.

This year, the Polish team will participate in the Volleyball Nations League, EuroVolley 2023, and the Pool C of the Olympic qualification tournament, which will be held by Poland.

List of players chosen:

Setter: Alicja Grabka, Marlena Kowalewska, Julia Nowicka, Katarzyna Wenerska, Joanna Wołosz

Opposite: Monika Gałkowska, Malwina Smarzek, Magdalena Stysiak, Julia Szczurowska

Outside hitter: Martyna Czyrniańska, Paulina Damaske, Karolina Drużkowska, Monika Fedusio, Zuzanna Górecka, Martyna Łukasik, Julita Piasecka, Olivia Różanski, Weronika Szlagowska

Libero: Izabela Lemańczyk, Justyna Łysiak, Maria Stenzel, Aleksandra Szczygłowska

Middle blocker: Weronika Centka, Aleksandra Gryka, Magdalena Jurczyk, Agnieszka Korneluk, Anna Obiała, Joanna Pacak, Dominika Pierzchała, Kamila Witkowska
