After the match, our journalist asked the coach of Team Canada, Shannon Winzor, if she was satisfied with her team’s performance. She responded that she was not entirely satisfied and praised the Dominican Republic’s block defense. She also commented that her team has the potential to be more consistent than what they showed on the court. However, she was pleased with her team’s mentality and their refusal to give up.
With their matches in Hong Kong for week 2 completed, Winzor commented on the team’s overall performance, noting that there were ups and downs throughout the week. Looking ahead to week 3, the coach stated that the team would focus on rest and recovery but would also review the gaps in their previous matches and prepare thoroughly in Thailand before the start of week 3, where the team will play in pool 6 held in Bangkok.
